Sunday Self Care Challenge

Sunday Self Care Challenge – Week Seven

It’s time you started prioritising yourself! It’s time you started making time for you! So, I’d love to invite you to join me for a beautiful 10 week ‘Sunday Self Care Challenge’. Each week will follow a theme, and have a self-care activity, a yoga pose to practice, an essential oil to diffuse and some journal prompts that all correlate and focus on our theme. This will be a chance for you to take those very first steps into setting up new routines that prioritise your own selfcare, mental health and wellbeing Mumma, so come and join me and let’s get started!

Want to get started with Week One? – Sunday Self Care Challenge Week One

So today’s focus is Positivity and Gratitude.

Essential oil:

First things first, if you are following along with the essential oil side of things, then go and grab your Lemon oil, ladies! We are using Lemon today as our base for uplifting and to help promote feelings of happiness and positivity. So get it in that diffuser, and let’s work on lifting ourselves up 🧡

Activity:

So our focus today is Positivity and Gratitude. So we are going to do things a little differently today and use today as day one. This activity is going to spread out throughout the entire week. So here is what we are going to do! This week, I want you to allow a little time every day to write down 3 things that you are grateful for every day. Every day may not be good, but there is something good in every day, and we want to use this activity to start to switch our mindset to focus on those good moments.

Yoga Pose:

Next up our yoga pose for today is Bhujangasana or our Cobra pose. We are going to be doing this pose to help strengthen through the back, open through the heart centre, and increase our capacity to breathe to relieve stress and open ourselves up to positivity and self-love.

So whenever you are ready then have a quick watch through the video and get yourself familiar with the details of the pose before you get started (or check my stories for a more detailed explaining of the pose) then come down to your mat to practice.

Journal Prompts:

Now our final aspect of today’s practice is our journal prompts. Obviously, with today’s activity, we are going to be doing a little bit journaling every day this week, but today, we are going to expand on it a little more. So once you are finished with your yoga pose of the day, come back to a comfortable seated position, grab yourself a diary or a notebook and this is what I want you to think about and write about today.

– What are three things you are grateful for today?
– Make a list of your absolute proudest accomplishments
– Make a short guide or plan on where you want to be in a year’s time. This could be in whatever area you want to focus on, maybe you want to work on career goals, maybe you want to focus on your own selfcare and mentalhealth, whatever it may be Mumma, start acknowledging what you want and what steps you can take to get there
– Write out a positive affirmation for the day that aligns with how you are feeling right now. Get on Google or pinterest for some inspiration if you need it. Now sit and focus on this affirmation, even repeat it to yourself a few times!
– And at the end of our 7 days of gratitude I want you to also write about what the impact of practicing gratitude had on yourself, your life and your own mental wellbeing this week.

I hope you’ve enjoyed joining along and completing week seven with me today, what was your favourite part of this week’s challenge? Now throw one thing you are grateful for today in the comments so we can all feel that positivity and grow with it 🧡

And see you back here next Sunday for more, Mumma!
